Job Description

Our Digital & IT Division delivers modern, secure, and data-driven digital solutions. To strengthen our Business Intelligence and Analytics capabilities, we are looking for a Power BI Consultant / Developer who will help us shape our data future. In this position, you will play a central role in our company-wide BI transformation. You combine technical expertise with business understanding to translate data into actionable insights.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Migration strategy and implementation:
    • Plan, design, and execute the migration from Tableau to Power BI, ensuring scalability, performance, and user adoption.
    • Define and implement scalable workspace and dataset architectures to support both centralized and decentralized Power BI usage.
    • Evaluate and recommend best-fit configuration and deployment models (e.g., apps, shared datasets, certified reports).
  • Power BI platform development:
    • Lead the design of Power BI usage guidelines, including naming conventions, workspace governance, report lifecycle management, and versioning.
    • Build high-quality data models, dashboards, and reports that empower decision-making across business units.
  • Integration with enterprise back-end systems: Connect Power BI with existing platforms such as SAP BW/4HANA to ensure reliable data flows and consistency.
  • Community of Practice support: Drive the internal Power BI community by coaching, upskilling, and enabling colleagues from various departments.
  • Collaboration with business stakeholders: Act as a trusted partner, creating value by understanding requirements and translating them into user-friendly BI solutions.
  • Best practices & governance: Define and promote BI standards, data governance principles, and guidelines for sustainable BI usage
  • Authorization & security concept: Design and implement a solid authorization framework in Power BI, ensuring data security and compliance across business units.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Data Analytics or comparable education/experience
  • Several years of professional experience in BI development, ideally with both Tableau and Power BI
  • Excellent knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and experience with data modeling in Microsoft environments
  • Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL concepts, and integration with enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Azure)
  • Hands-on experience in connecting Power BI with SAP BW/4HANA or comparable back-end systems
  • Knowledge of role-based access models and implementation of authorization concepts in BI environments
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in a simple and engaging way to empower non-technical colleagues
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for building a strong data culture
