Job Description
In June, Brainlab announced the spin-off of its former subsidiary, Snke. While both companies will operate independently, they will continue to collaborate closely. You will initially join the IT at Brainlab to support Snke during the transition, after which you will fully transition to Snke to continue your career.
As part of our IT department, you will play a key role in supporting the newly separated company. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a foundational team that will not only ensure continuity of IT services but also help design and implement the IT landscape for a new, independent organization.
We are looking for a versatile IT infrastructure generalist who is hands-on, adaptable, and eager to work across a broad range of technologies and responsibilities.
In this role, your main tasks will be:
- Support the transition of Snke from Brainlab by ensuring continuity and stability of network services during the spin-off phase.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable network infrastructures for a newly independent organization.
- Manage and optimize enterprise firewall systems and remote access solutions.
- Oversee WAN/ISP setups, cloud networking, and load balancing technologies.
- Maintain and improve DNS (public and internal) and DHCP services.
- Manage public and internal certificate infrastructures (PKI), including lifecycle and policy enforcement.
- Implement and support authentication services such as RADIUS and TACACS, especially in the context of network access control (NAC).
- Operate and enhance wired and wireless network infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using appropriate tools and methodologies.
- Contribute to the development of network automation and data center networking strategies.
- Maintain structured inventory and asset management for network components.
- Implement and manage proxy services and perimeter defense mechanisms.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless IT operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve network processes with a proactive and service-oriented mindset.
Qualifications
- Degree in IT or related field
- 5+ years in enterprise networking and IT security
- Strong knowledge of network architecture and perimeter security
- Hands-on with firewalls, VPN, WAN/ISP, and load balancing
- Solid DNS, DHCP, and PKI experience
- Familiar with RADIUS, TACACS, and NAC
- Experience with wired/wireless networks and monitoring tools
- Exposure to data center and network automation
- Structured, analytical, and service-oriented mindset
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, NSE, CCSE) preferred
